I also wanted Weiner out. Sorry to expect that the people I elect have better judgment in their personal lives as well. <br /><br />I still think Weiner was right to resign, but he and other Dems should have had the option to run in a primary so the people of the 9th District could select who they wanted to run against Turner. But Cuomo and the Queens machine didn't give the voters any option. They put up someone who didn't even live in the district. Weiner might have carried the Orthodox vote because of this strong defense on Israel, but might have divided that community on Gay Marriage and the sliding polls of Obama. I know Howard Beach always votes Republican. If Weiner did run and win, it would have been by a slight margin because people are fed up with Obama. <br /><br />I think in a way this election is a wake-up call to the Damn-o-crats in charge to do something about Obama. <br /><br />Public school students have never been a priority in good economic times. That's why it's so important that we work to get Liu elected.
