She was in publishing... of course adult materials were printed under her name, she was working for an adult magazine. But I am outraged that someone with no qualifications or educational experience or demonstrated passion for youth was appointed chancellor. Lets not turn to judging moral character- liberals are the first ones to attack others for doing the same. I'm way more concerned with the possibility (and probability) that Ms. Black will apply the business model to our school system than I am worried she will dole out sex advice to young teens.Sammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08810001551957224488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33431390.post-50818160127510416162011-01-26T20:08:07.776-05:002011-01-26T20:08:07.776-05:00David,
You state that "no mention of the appr...David,
You state that "no mention of the appropriateness of her appointment on the basis of her ethical and moral fitness to lead our schools".

I attended the denythewaiver protest each and every time and was very angry about the lack of credentials that Ms. Black had and how her appointment to the position is a slap in the face of every teacher who gets state certified so he/she can be an qualified education leader in the classrooms.

What truly concerns me is the blatant fact that the DoE's witch hunt and hypocrisy of attacking Ms. Melissa Petro's past, where she was a sex call girl at one time, but left that life to become a teacher. The DoE went after this young teacher, and she had to resign; yet it's okay for the chancellor to have an immoral and unethical beliefs in her past. It's a system of perverted double standards where sleaziness is acceptable as long as 1. you are a friend of a billionaire mayor; 2. you are also rich and belong to an elitist group who's feces doesn't smell 3. you have a immoral past that money can erase 4. you can ignore the public's outrage because they don't matter when it deals with their opinion.

Here's where a strong campaign of public outrage of having a chancellor whose past is a reflection of how obscene Ms. Black's intention will be for all those in the public school system.

Let's bring this issue up to the ethic board at NY state ed department.

Zulma E. Some submissions(oops, pun intended):

- "A Little Pain Never Hurt Anyone: S&M and School Reform"

- "You Know She Really Wants It: Don't Let the AFT Play Coy When You're Passionate."

- "Deeper and Harder: Why Attacks on Public Education Need to Go All the Way"

Then again, what Bloomberg, Duncan, Rhee et. al. do every day is obscene enough.Michael Fiorillonoreply@blogger.com
