CRAZY!

AND look at what a failure Bloomie is even with managing police data. See today's paper -- police scandal deepens.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33431390.post-3221562511781200942011-04-22T22:48:07.659-04:002011-04-22T22:48:07.659-04:00I totally agree with you, Ednotes. I was horrified to participate (forced to during a PD day) in a "workshop" (e.g. sales presentation)
done by a Renzulli Learning representative who referred to the children's work as a "product". Of course, I called her on it. We are all dehumanized when we are stamped with a category such as "consumer" or "product". No coherent response from the only org with enough money and influence to counter the argument. But the union races around putting out fires instead of organizing an effective counter attack.ed notes onlinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15018047869059226777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33431390.post-87902341771641440002011-04-22T14:09:59.561-04:002011-04-22T14:09:59.561-04:00Haven't many students and their parents alread...Haven't many students and their parents already bought into this idea that schools are just like stores, and the students are "consumers" when students tell their teachers:" I'll get you fired!"?, for whatever supposed infractions a TEACHER has committed?

Further proof, IMHO, that education is seen as a "consumable" commodity, rather than a necessary public service in this country.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
