Perhaps you are unaware that in Seattle Public Schools, these data contribute to 0% (yes, that is zero percent) of a teacher's evaluation. A teacher's evaluation is based entirely on the principal's evaluation, and student growth data merely serve as additional information, that the principal may choose to ignore entirely, if those data are not consistent with her/his evaluation. I believe that the teachers are acting with what they believe are students' best interests, but it is in no one's best interests when misinformation and outright lies are propagated in order to advance individuals' specific political agendas.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
