The state’s most powerful Republican secretly worked for months to help
Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo win re-election — in exchange for Cuomo’s
promise not to aid Senate Democrats in their Long Island races, a top
New York GOP leader has charged.... http://nypost.com/2014/11/10/cuomo-had-a-secret-re-election-pact-with-republicans/
As someone commented on the MORE listserve:
I CONTINUE TO BE AMAZED AT THE NAIVETE OF THE WFP.
The unions and Cuomo have buried the Working Families Party. Progressive need to go elsewhere.

You do realize that Cuomo will use this power to bash unions. He will make Wisconsin look like puppies. This is why I begged you to put money and resources into getting Julie elected and not wait 8 years like CORE. We no longer have 8 years. We don't even have 4 years. This killing will be swift. And with MORE still not knowing their directions (is it Socialism or Teachers??), they will be flying in the wind when this is all over. Teachout was our only hope and UNITY made sure to put that last knife in our backs. WFP is a joke!! They had the opportunity to back a winning candidate against Cuomo and gave it up. There is a story on Fox News how the teachers unions spend over $80 million on this election and lost. The truth is they lost when they backed Cuomo. They lost when they backed other bad candidates like Crist. Honestly, if I had a kid majoring in Education, I would stop supporting his/her college payments!!!
