EdNotesNews report:
Soon after President Obama's announcement today that he would make one final attempt to vacate Guantanamo, Eva Moskowitz made her move to put a Success Charter into the base in Cuba before they dismantle the torture equipment. Charlotte Dial is expected to be the principal of the school.
"Fiddly dee", was Moskowitz' response when questioned why Guantanamo was an attractive space for a YASSIC (Yet Another Success School Interrogation Chamber). "We believe in striking while the iron is hot.
Too many children are being coddled," she said. "We expect test scores to go through the roof at SAG( Success Academy Guantanamo) as we try out new techniques to wring the most out of our children."

Why is this funny? Why are you mocking the thousands of parents who choose to send their children to Success Academy. Grow up.
ReplyDeleteThey should not be mocked but pitied for sending their children to a version of apartheid. Just what young black children need. Young, inexperienced, uncertified white, mostly women who don't have a clue as to how to handle children, yelling in their faces.
DeleteGetting the humor is the highest form of comprehension. Since you seem to be in need of remediation I will help you make the connections needed to understand the humor in the idea presented in the post. Success Charters abuse children. Gitmo is known for it's abuse of prisoners. Gitmo will now have room for other abusers to house their abused. Eva Moskowitz who is always looking for a new space has recognized that Gitmo and their torture machines will soon be available and her teachers will be the new abusers of Gitmo. The new prisoners errr I mean students will be housed at the soon to be vacant prison. He's mocking Moskowitz and Success Charters - not parents. And he's doing so in a very humorous way. DeleteTake it any way you want to. If parents want their children to walk with bubbles in their mouths it is their right. Let them have fun on the Eva plantation.
ReplyDeleteThey should be mocked for not caring about a got to go list as long as their "scholars" are not on it. They are perfectly satisfied to purge the school of children with special needs. That is why they want to go there in the first place. A vicious form of me-me-me against them. In their own way many of these parents carry their own special brand of racism.
DeleteCharter creaming intensifies the challenges faced by urban public school teachers as we work with higher and higher percentages of the neediest children. Our reward is being labeled bad teachers in failing schools.
