Hey Bud, Wanna Go to a Unity Caucus Meeting?

They need to discuss the elections and how to keep MORE info out of their schools. People should go and stand outside and ask these people why they support junk science. This is right after the Feb. 6 DA. So they will use this meeting to get their petitions signed. Someone should go and stand outside and do a head count to see just how many slugs there are. I'd go but would probably be shot.

One interesting point here is that Unity Caucus meetings timed to follow DAs often bring out a high number of Unity people to the DAs. Is there any connection to a possible agreement that will be "sprung" on people, leaving the opposition little time to prepare a response?
Unity member,

There will be a general meeting of Unity Caucus on Wednesday, February 6th beginning at 6:30PM. We will meet at:

Fashion Industries High School, 225 West 24th Street, NYC, between 7th and 8th Avenues.

We need to discuss the general UFT elections taking place this spring. It's important that everyone is in attendance.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Fraternally,

LeRoy
LeRoy Barr, Chair

You think the DA is bad. You should see what their caucus meeting is like. Two or three people talk. General information. Do this. Do that. Done. Good Night. End of Story...

You should see what my Chapter Leader Meeting was like. After my DR told us that we'd better get used to the fact that we were going to have a new evaluation system and we should get our members ready for this, I asked if she had any idea what the system would be like. She said something like she did but "we do not have time at this meeting to go into it." She then proceeded to basically read her list of agenda items with some limited discussion about safety issues when she actually did answer mostly procedural questions. But no time to discuss the crucial issue we are now facing! Way to go, Unity!

The older ICE meetings were the best. Vera's BBQ was great. The Kaufman/Eterno chicken wing eating contests were legendary!

You nailed the key to early ICE success -- the food. ICE began to decline when it stopped eating. And it revived recently by meeting in a diner where people could eat. I go to meetings for the rice pudding with whip cream.

GEM never understood that. Too much vegan crap and granola!
